WASHINGTON, D.C. — Metropolitan Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect in an armed robbery reported inside a Southeast Washington store.
The robbery occurred at about 8:15 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, in the 1400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE, police said.
Investigators said the suspect approached a customer inside the store, displayed a handgun, took the victim’s property and fled.
Police released surveillance video and photographs as part of the effort to identify the suspect. Authorities advised anyone who recognizes the person not to take action.
Anyone with information may call police at 202-727-9099 or text a tip to 50411. Police said a reward of up to 0,000 may be available for information leading to an arrest and conviction in a violent crime. The case is listed as CCN 26126678.
