WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a fatal stabbing in Northwest Washington that claimed the life of a 56-year-old man.
Third District officers responded to the 2900 block of 14th Street NW at approximately 12:52 a.m. Saturday, July 11, following a report of a stabbing, according to an MPD release issued Wednesday.
Police said officers found an adult man suffering from a puncture wound. D.C. Fire and EMS personnel responded and pronounced him dead at the scene. MPD identified the victim as Charles Sharp of Northwest Washington.
The case remains under investigation. Police ask anyone with information not to take action, but to call 202-727-9099 or text the department’s tip line at 50411.
MPD said it currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for a homicide in the District. The case reference is CCN 26096219.
