WASHINGTON, D.C. — Metropolitan Police Department investigators are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect in a Northwest Washington shooting that left one person with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
MPD said the shooting happened at about 9:15 p.m. Monday, Sept. 1, in the 2300 block of Georgia Avenue NW. According to the department, the suspect approached the victim, displayed a gun, fired and fled.
The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment. Police said security cameras captured the suspect, and images were included with the department’s public notice.
Anyone who can identify the suspect or has information about the case should not take action but should call police at 202-727-9099 or text a tip to 50411. MPD said it offers a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in a District crime. The case reference is CCN 26124217.
