WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Fiesta DC Festival will bring parking restrictions and street closures to downtown Washington on Saturday, Sept. 26, and Sunday, Sept. 27, as the annual celebration takes place in the District.
Emergency no-parking restrictions will be in effect from 12:01 a.m. Saturday through 11:59 p.m. Sunday on portions of Pennsylvania Avenue, 4th Street, 6th Street, 7th Street and Constitution Avenue NW.
During the same period, Pennsylvania Avenue from 3rd to 7th streets, 4th Street between Pennsylvania Avenue and Madison Drive, 6th Street between Constitution Avenue and C Street, and Constitution Avenue from 3rd to 7th streets will be closed to emergency vehicles.
Officials said 7th Street from E Street to Constitution Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue from 9th to 7th streets may also close intermittently to regular vehicle traffic for public safety during the festival.
Drivers should expect delays, follow posted emergency no-parking signs and consider alternate routes. Vehicles parked in restricted areas may be ticketed and towed, and motorists should use caution because of increased pedestrian traffic.
