WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying two suspects in an armed robbery reported this week in Northeast Washington.
According to MPD, the suspects approached a man while he was sitting in his vehicle in the 1300 block of A Street NE at approximately 10:41 a.m. Monday, September 14. Police said one suspect displayed a firearm and ordered the victim out of the vehicle.
The suspects then searched the vehicle, took property and fled on a green scooter, investigators said. Security cameras captured images of the suspects.
MPD advised anyone who recognizes the suspects or has information about the incident not to approach them. Tips may be provided by calling police at (202) 727-9099 or texting 50411. The department said a reward of up to $10,000 is available for information leading to an arrest and indictment in a crime committed in the District.
