WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect in a Southwest Washington assault involving a glass bottle.
The assault occurred at approximately 12:24 a.m. Sunday, July 19, in the unit block of Q Street SW, according to an official MPD release.
Police said the suspect and victim were involved in an argument before the suspect struck the victim with a glass bottle and fled. The victim was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
MPD published surveillance images and video of the suspect as part of its appeal. The case is identified as CCN 26100388.
Anyone who can identify the suspect or has information about the assault should not take action, police said. Tips can be provided by calling 202-727-9099 or texting 50411. MPD said it offers a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in a crime committed in the District.
