WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying two suspects in an armed robbery that authorities said involved two victims in Northwest Washington.
Second District officers were on routine patrol in the 1100 block of 18th Street NW at approximately 5:28 a.m. on July 18 when the victims flagged them down, according to an MPD release issued Wednesday.
Police said the victims were walking toward their vehicle in a parking garage when two suspects armed with guns assaulted one victim and took property from both. The suspects left before officers arrived.
MPD said nearby surveillance footage captured the suspects. The department urged anyone who recognizes them or has information about the incident not to approach them, but to call police at 202-727-9099 or text a tip to 50411. MPD is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case, which is listed under CCN 26100467.
