WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Metropolitan Police Department said a juvenile has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery in Southwest, according to an MPD release issued Thursday.
Police said the robbery happened at about 9:40 a.m. Friday, May 22, in the 500 block of I Street SW.
According to MPD, the suspect approached the victim, displayed a handgun and demanded the victim’s shoes. The victim complied, and the suspect fled the scene.
On Wednesday, June 24, police arrested a 14-year-old juvenile male from Southeast D.C. in connection with the case.
MPD said the juvenile was charged with Armed Robbery (Gun). The case control number listed by police is CCN 26069325.
Police did not identify the juvenile by name. MPD lists its main contact line as (202) 727-9099 for additional information.
