WASHINGTON, D.C. — The District Department of Transportation will host a virtual public meeting on Tuesday, June 30, to gather community feedback for Phase II of the North Capitol Street Corridor Study.
The study covers North Capitol Street NW between Massachusetts Avenue NW and Michigan Avenue NW, and DDOT describes it as a multimodal look at one of the District’s major north-south corridors.
According to DDOT, the workshop is intended to re-engage the community and share concepts for widening sidewalks along North Capitol Street NW. Residents will be able to share feedback and priorities for the corridor while DDOT staff answer questions and gather comments.
The virtual meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on WebEx. DDOT said materials from the session will be posted on the study website within 72 hours after the meeting concludes.
Residents who cannot attend will still be able to submit comments through the project website at northcapitolstudy.ddot.dc.gov. DDOT listed Ted Van Houten as the project manager for the study.
The agency said the corridor study is part of its broader work to evaluate transportation needs and public-space priorities along North Capitol Street NW.
