WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Metropolitan Police Department said an additional arrest has been made in connection with an assault at the Chipotle in Navy Yard, according to a release dated Monday, June 22, 2026.
Police said the incident happened on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 8:41 p.m. in the 1200 block of First Street SE, where officers received a call for a large fight inside the restaurant.
MPD said members were already deployed nearby to monitor a large group and arrived within one minute, but the people involved had already fled. Witnesses told officers that one group of juveniles was inside the establishment when another group entered and a fight broke out immediately, according to police.
No injuries were reported, police said. MPD said both groups fled before officers arrived at the scene.
According to the department, a 15-year-old male from Southeast D.C. was arrested June 10 under a D.C. Superior Court custody order and charged with simple assault and affray. Police said a 16-year-old male from Southeast D.C. and a 16-year-old male from Temple Hills, Maryland, were arrested June 11 under custody orders and charged with simple assault and affray.
MPD said an additional arrest was made Saturday, June 20, when a 16-year-old juvenile male from Northeast D.C. was arrested under a D.C. Superior Court custody order and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon (chair). The case number is CCN 26066893.
