WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Metropolitan Police Department is asking the public to help identify a suspect sought in connection with an early-morning shooting in Northwest Washington.
Police said Fourth District officers were patrolling near the 3400 block of 14th Street NW at approximately 3:36 a.m. Wednesday, August 26, when they heard gunshots. Officers found evidence of a shooting, but did not locate any victims.
According to MPD, the suspect left the area before officers arrived. Police said nearby surveillance cameras captured images and video of the person investigators are seeking. The case is listed under CCN 26120446.
Anyone who can identify the person or has information about the incident is asked not to take action, but to call police at 202-727-9099 or text a tip to 50411. MPD said it is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.
