WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect in a May stabbing on 14th Street NW that left one person with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Police said the incident happened at about 6 a.m. on Sunday, May 10, in the 2000 block of 14th Street NW. According to MPD, the suspect approached the victim, displayed a knife and stabbed the victim before leaving the area.
The victim traveled to a local hospital for treatment, police said. Investigators released surveillance images of the person they are seeking as part of the investigation.
Authorities asked anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about the case not to take action directly. Tips can be provided by calling police at (202) 727-9099 or by texting 50411.
MPD said it offers a reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of a person responsible for a violent crime in the District. The case number is 26062975.
