WASHINGTON, D.C. — A 35-year-old Northwest Washington man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery on Florida Avenue, the Metropolitan Police Department announced Friday.
Police said the robbery occurred at approximately 6:55 p.m. on July 10 in the 500 block of Florida Avenue NW. According to MPD, the suspect approached the victim, assaulted the victim with a bicycle wrench and took property before fleeing.
The victim’s property was recovered a short time later, police said.
MPD said officers arrested Christian Agnostinelli on Thursday, Aug. 6, pursuant to a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant. He was charged with armed robbery involving a wrench. Charges are allegations, and defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
