WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying multiple suspects in an attempted robbery at a bus stop in Northeast Washington.
Police said two victims were standing at a bus stop in the 1400 block of H Street NE at about 3:05 p.m. on June 7 when several suspects approached and demanded their property.
The victims did not comply and ran to a nearby store, where they called police. No property was taken, neither victim was injured, and the suspects left before officers arrived, according to MPD.
Investigators said nearby surveillance cameras captured the suspects. Anyone with information is asked not to take action but to call police at 202-727-9099 or text a tip to 50411. MPD is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in a violent crime committed in the District.
The case is identified as CCN 26078056.
