WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Metropolitan Police Department said it has arrested a suspect in an armed robbery that occurred Tuesday afternoon in Northeast.
According to MPD, the incident happened at approximately 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, in the 4000 block of Minnesota Avenue NE.
Police said the suspect approached the victim, brandished a handgun, took the victim’s sunglasses and fled the scene.
Responding officers apprehended the suspect, MPD said.
Police identified the arrested suspect as 23-year-old Jemise Dezzou of Bowie, Maryland. MPD said Dezzou was charged with Armed Robbery (Gun).
