MPD Seeks Suspect in E Street NW Business Burglary

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect in a burglary at a Northwest Washington business.

First District officers responded to the 600 block of E Street NW at approximately 9:16 a.m. on August 18, according to an MPD release issued Thursday. Police said the break-in occurred shortly after 2 a.m.

The suspect destroyed the establishment’s front door to get inside, took property and fled before officers arrived, police said. MPD published surveillance video of the person sought in the investigation.

Anyone who can identify the suspect or has information about the incident is asked not to take action, but to call police at 202-727-9099 or text a tip to 50411. MPD said it offers a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in a District crime. The case number is 26116176.
